Norman Baker

Norman Baker is Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the United Kingdom’s Department for Transport, a position he has held since his appointment in May 2010. A Liberal Democrat, he had held a number of Shadow Cabinet portfolios, including Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office, Shadow Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, and Shadow Secretary of State for Transport. He also served as a local councillor in East Sussex before becoming Leader of Lewes District Council in 1991. Mr. Baker holds a BA degree in German from the University of London.
