Angela Gittens

Director-General
Airports Council International

Since 2008, Angela Gittens has been Director-General of Airports Council International, the worldwide association of airports. With a career in the aviation industry spanning more than two decades, Gittens has held top executive positions at three of the largest USA airports: Miami, Atlanta and San Francisco. She also served as Vice-President for Airport Business Services of HNTB Corporation, a leading firm in transport infrastructure services. Prior to this, she oversaw the privatisation of London's Luton Airport in the UK as Vice-President of TBI Airport Management. She has served on the USA Federal Aviation Authority’s Management Advisory Committee, the Executive Committee of the Transportation Research Board and the Board of Directors of JetBlue Airways. She holds a Degree in sociology from Farleigh Dickinson University in the USA.
