Patrick Oliva has been the Corporate Vice-President of Michelin Group since 1996, being responsible firstly for Communications, then Group Projects, and now Strategic Anticipation and Sustainable Development. Initially a chemical engineer with Doctorate in Physical Sciences, graduating from the Institut d’Administration des Entreprises, he has also been a lecturer at Institut de Préparation aux Etudes Supérieures, Paris, and a research engineer at SAFT, Bordeaux. He later joined Michelin as an engineer in 1982. Mr. Oliva is also peer-reviewer of the International Energy Agency’s World Energy Outlook, and Chair of the WEF Automotive Industry Agenda Council.
